Virginia "Ginny" Gambrell Hastings, 90, of 123 Yorke Drive, widow of James Marcus Hastings, Sr., died Sunday, November 11, 2018 at her home.

Born in Greenwood on November 23, 1927, she was a daughter of the late John Austin and Ruth Whitaker Gambrell. She was retired from Eastwell Sportswear and was a member of the Druid Hills Coffee Club. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church and the Sunshine Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her three brothers.

Surviving are three daughters, Patsy Hastings Holder (Michael) of Ninety Six, Shirley Kellum (Larry) of Greenwood and Patricia "Tric" Williams (Josiah) of Mt. Pleasant; her son, James M. "Buddy" Hastings, Jr. (Vickie) of Greenwood; grandchildren, Travis Whitted, Tracy Phillips, Chad Kellum, Amy Owensby, Beth Morrow, Kristin Abbate, Josiah Williams, IV, Amy Lewis and Rusty Skidmore; seventeen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bobby Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Travis Whitted, Chad Kellum, Rick Phillips, Josiah Williams, IV, Matthew Whitted and Randall Barrett.

The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
