Virginia Mims Timmerman, 106, of Ninety Six, widow of James Warren Timmerman, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at her home.
Born in Lincoln County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Martin Mims and Lucy Bentley Mims. Virginia retired from Greenwood Mills- Adams Plant and was the oldest living member of Cambridge Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard with her beautiful flowers and was a loving Christian mother and grandmother. Virginia was recognized by the town of Ninety Six and also Greenwood County on her 106th birthday.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and preceded in death by her son-in-law, James Corley.
Surviving are her children Wanda Corley of Saluda and Joy Berry (Danny) of Greenwood; grandchildren; Gina Jacobs (Harv), Jimmy Corley (Angie), Jeffrey Corley (Lori) and Kevin Berry; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hank Brooks and Rev. Matthew Johnson officiating. Burial will be held in Greenwood Memorial Gardens on Tuesday at 1:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the service from 1-2 p.m.
