Virginia "Ginny" Lane Sudduth Tipton, 72, of Lugoff, wife of Rick Tipton, Sr., passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Wilson Henry Sudduth Jr. and Eunice Salter Sudduth. "Snookie" as she was affectionately known, was a dedicated and loving wife to her devoted husband of 51 years. She took great pride in her beautifully manicured yard, where she spent countless hours nurturing her flowers and plants. She also enjoyed fishing alongside her husband. Ginny cherished her role as a grandmother and her grandchildren brought immeasurable joy to her life. She was a member of Springvale Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilson Carroll "Rock" Sudduth and Merrill "Ruff" Sudduth; daughter-in-law, Terri Tipton; granddaughter, Kendal Snider; and sister-in-law, Betty Sudduth.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are her children, Tracie Snider (Boone), Carie Girouard (Ray), Chris Tipton (Shannon) and Rick Tipton, Jr. (Terri); brother, David "Butch" Sudduth; grandchildren, Cody Snider, Madison and Mason Girouard and Cory Harrington; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Mark Sudduth, Rick Tipton, Jr., Chris Tipton, Boone Snider, Cody Snider and Ray Girouard.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the service from 1-2pm.
