Wanda Mae Ellason Moss, 73, of Ninety Six, widow of Robert L. Moss, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at her home.

Born on August 21, 1952 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Mary Ellason.

Wanda was happiest when she was on the boat cruising or with a fishing pole in her hand. Her life was dedicated to her family, her church, and serving others. She had a passion for cooking and took great joy in preparing meals that brought everyone together. Wanda was a member of Lakewood Family Worship Center, where she lived to serve, always looking for ways to help those in need with a kind word or a helping hand.

She is survived by her children, Carroll Moss (Amanda) and Sharon D. Simpson (Steve); sisters, Mary Ann Mahaffey, Helen Moss, and Kay "Sissy" Thomas (John); brothers, James, Robert, Johnny, and Larry Ellason; seven grandchildren, Reanna Clark (Justin Clark), Drake Plumley Simpson, Shane "Donovan" Moss (Brittani), Brittany Lee Smith (Kevin), Jacob C. Moss (Shelly), Stephen L. Moss (Ally), and Robert Moss (Ashley); twelve great grandchildren; special friend, Terry Powell; and beloved dog, Cookie.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Lakewood Family Worship Center. with the Rev. Russell Addis officiating.

The family will receive friends before the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the church.
