Obituary
Victor Wayne Benton, 72, of Greenwood, husband of Sandra Ellis Benton, died Sunday, December 26, 2021.
Born in Kannapolis, NC, he was the son of the late John Bunyon Benton and Abbie Jane Mote Benton. Wayne was formerly employed with Greenwood Mills-Mathews Plant and was working at the Greenwood County Recycling Center. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and attended Augusta Highway Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Angela Benton McCurry (Mike) of Abbeville and Victor Wayne Benton, Jr. (Karen) of Greenwood; a sister, Mahlon Benton (Mark) of Hartsville; grandchildren, Heather Benton (Dewayne), Tripp Benton, Austin McCurry, Cameron McCurry, Dallas Rose McCurry, Cassidy Hilley, Jason Hilley and Davey Ray Hilley (Allie); and great grandchildren, Alton, Sernity, Lawson, Abbey, Jada, Aubree and Olivia.
Services will be held at a later date.
