Alton Wayne Bloodworth, 68, resident of Emerald Gardens, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024.

Born in Williamsburg, Virginia, he was a son of the late Willie Houston Bloodworth and Ruth Virginia Nettles Bloodworth. Wayne served his country in the U. S. Navy. He enjoyed taking walks outside, reading science fiction books and loved sports, especially the Pittsburg Steelers. Wayne was a friend to everyone, always making others laugh and had a great smile that will never be forgotten.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Bloodworth, Jr.

He is survived by a brother, Brian Bloodworth (Marilyn); a sister, Belinda Frances Bloodworth; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m.
