Wayne Rolland Buckner, 66, of Greenwood, husband of Rita Osborne Buckner, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Benton County, WA, he was a son of May Buckner and the late Earl William Buckner. Wayne served in the US Air Force for six years and retired as a lead maintenance supervisor with a long term care facility. He was an avid bowler, competing in multiple weekly and National leagues, loved to travel and enjoyed casinos and fishing. Wayne loved sitting on his back porch listening to the birds and windchimes and enjoyed cooking for everyone. He was Catholic.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Smith and a brother, Wade Dau.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Rita, of 16 years; his mother, May, of Washington State; his children, Amanda Buckner of Washington State, Cassandra Boswell (Brandon) and Kayla Craft (Robbie Coleman), both of Greenwood and Ashley Buckner of Washington State; sister, Melinda Andreason and brothers, George Dau, Ronald Dau (Diane Bulis), Stuart Dau and Richard Dau (Kimberly), all of Washington State; grandchildren, David Whiteman, Preston Richey, Keaton Boswell, Avery Hirning and Lilayh Boswell; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rodney C. Davenport officiating.

The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
