Born on May 13, 1947, in Ridge Springs, he was the son of the late Vernon Cowan Lewis and Mattie Lou Johnson Lewis. Wayne was a beloved husband to the love of his life for over 58 years. He dedicated himself to a long and fulfilling career as a supervisor with CPW. Wayne was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, and he carried the spirit of service throughout his life. He poured his time and energy into his family often sacrificed himself to make sure his children and grandchildren were loved and taken care of.
