Obituary
George "Wayne" Pruett, 80, of Greenwood, husband of Sherry Chaney Pruett, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at his home.
Born in Lumber City, GA., he was a son of the late George Edward Pruett and Eunice Clyde Thompson Pruett. He retired from Monsanto as a maintenance electrician after thirty-two years. Wayne was a US Air Force veteran and a former member of Temple Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry of the home; children, Jason Schultz (Jessica) of Greenwood, Hunter Schultz (Katherine) of Greenville, Teresa Pruett Bolling, and Carolyn Pruett Price, both of Baltimore, MD; and five grandchildren, Abigail Schultz, Madison Schultz, Tucker Schultz, Brandon Bolling, and Andrew Price.
Wayne was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Services will be private.
Memorials may be made to Providence Care, 315 W. Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
