Robert Wayne Still, 73, of Greenwood, husband of Janet Harris Still, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at his home after a long illness.
Born in Greenwood SC, he was the son of the late Edward "Jack" Fuller Still and Margaret Rhodes Still.
Wayne was a graduate of Piedmont Technical College, a US Army National Guard veteran, retired maintenance technician from AT&T and retired mobile lab (Gene Machine) driver from Greenwood Genetic Center. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hiking, camping and hunting along with woodworking, painting, travel and classic cars. He was most at home socializing with friends and family, swinging on his porch swing and sharing corny 'Dad' jokes. Wayne will be best remembered as a loving husband and father, for his patient spirit and bright, happy smile.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are daughters, Amy E. Still, Margaret 'Megan' Worthington, Mary Graham Hernandez (Brandon); son, Harris Worthington (Jessica) and three granddaughters, who knew him fondly as "Grumpy".
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14th at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gordon Powell and Tony Sleister officiating. A private burial will be held at Ramsey Creek Preserve in Westminster, SC.
The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00- 1:00p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to SC Chapter of ALS Association or Greenwood Genetic Center.
