Wendy Kennedy Smith, 47, of 406 Clemson Street, Laurens, wife of James Wesley Smith died Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Laurens County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of Danny Robert Kennedy, Sr. and Donnis Underwood Kennedy. Wendy was a loving wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by a son, Christian Smith.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home and her parents of Cross HIll are a son, James W. Smith, II; a sister, Amanda Christian (Vince) of Greenwood; a brother, Danny R. Kennedy, Jr. (Melinda) of Abbeville; six nieces and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends before the service from 2-3pm.

Following the service, the family will gather at the home of her sister, Amanda Christian, 107 Chatham Drive, Greenwood.
