William Dwight �Bill� Coursen, 76, of 1110 Marshall Road, husband of Wilma Rodman Coursen died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late William and Mary Fleming Coursen. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and became an Air Traffic Controller. Bill retired from Cleveland Enroute Traffic Control Center. He was a member of P. A. T. C. O. and F. M. A. He was also a member of the Beaufort Lions Club and was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his only son, Cpl. Coursen, Beaufort County Sheriff�s Office. End of watch January 8, 2002. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a grandson, Cory Coursen of Toledo, OH; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Carolina C. O. P.
