William Elbert "Bill" Cockrell, Sr., 90, died Sunday, October 18, 2026 at Magnolia Manor.

Born in Saluda, he was a son of the late Edward and Edna Day Cockrell. Bill was a graduate of Ridge Spring High School and was the retired owner of Bill's Body Shop.

Bill is survived by his children, Cheryl Gonzalez, Dan Cockrell, Bill Cockrell, Candice Robertson, Deeya Harvley, Skip Cockrell and Chip Cockrell along with a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren loved their Papa dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Millie Griffin, Fran Herrara and Ann Jeffrey.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday from 12:00 - 1:30 pm at the Harley Family Center, 1101 Main St S, Greenwood. A private family burial will follow.
