Memorial Service
William "Bill" Clarence Haralson, 91, of Greenwood, widower of Jane Johnson Haralson, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026 at his home.
Born on September 29, 1934, in Comer, Georgia, he was a son of the late William Thomas Haralson and Alice Nelson Haralson.
Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served his country with honor. After his military service, he built a career as a mechanic at Park Davis, where he worked diligently until his retirement. Known for his skill and dedication, Bill found great joy in working in his shop, repairing and painting cars-a hobby that brought him much satisfaction and peace. He also enjoyed watching westerns and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Atlanta Braves.
A beloved member of Laurel Baptist Church, he held a special place in his heart for his church family. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life, and the church was a source of comfort and community for him.
Above all, Bill loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He is survived by his daughters Sharron Cobb (David) and Vickie Haralson; his son Danny Haralson (Debbie); his sister Eva Sue West; grandchildren Lindsey Smith (Christian), Allison McCombs (Thomas), Chasity Dill (Robbie), Amanda Hooper, Jeff Hooper (Ana), Christy Haralson, Kacey Oliver, and Brittany Haralson; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, David Flowers and his brothers Frank, Roger, and Eldridge Haralson.
The family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Laurel Baptist Church with the Rev. James Rodgers officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of a man who loved his family dearly and touched many lives with his quiet kindness and humble spirit.
