William Holder, 62, of 226 Mill Avenue, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Ruth Simpson Holder and the late Curtis Holder. He was retired from Greenwood Mills, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the Emerald Farms Train Club and was a charter member of New Life Baptist Church, where he served as an usher. Surviving is his mother of Greenwood; two daughters, Kelly Wheeler and her husband, John, of Mint Hill, NC and Melissa Higginbotham and her husband, Jeff, of Greenwood; a son, Robert Holder and his wife, Kristie, of Indian Trail, NC; a brother, Ray Holder and his wife, Nancy, of Greenwood; and five grandchildren, Caleb Holder, Sydney Holder and Olivia Holder, all of Indian Trail, Paige Wheeler of Mint Hill and Ansley Higginbotham of Greenwood. The family wishes to give special recognition to the Zahn family and close friends.
