William Joseph Rhodes, 81, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Petra Health and Rehab, McCormick. Born in Mineral Wells, TX, he was a son of the late Jack Rhodes and Lena Ranspot Pierce and stepson of the late Levy Pierce. He was retired from Fluor-Daniel Construction and was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are three daughters, Sharon Rhodes Levin and her husband, Emanuel, of Owings Mills, MD, Cheryl Rhodes Gregson of Thomasville, GA and Leslie Rhodes Spencer and her husband, Jody, of Monticello, FL; grandchildren, Allison Levin, Hannah Levin, Jessica Winters and her husband, Joe, Loring Elizabeth Spencer and Alex Gregson; sisters, Ann Prouse of Cookeville, TN and Mary Hunt of Arkansas, Margaret Bateman of Texas; brothers, Jack Rhodes of Harrison, AK and Don Rhodes of Vistaville, CA; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, James Rhodes and John Rhodes; a sister, Lydia Rhodes and a grandson, Ryan James Slusarski.
