Obituary

William �Albert� Avery, Sr., 73, of 306 Grove Street APT 4G, died Friday, July 18, 2014 at Hospice of Laurens County. Born in Newberry, he was a son of the late Rally and Janie Mae Gentry Avery. He retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are three children, Billy Avery (Penny) of Hodges, Laurie Hulon (Robbie) of Union, and Sandra Gable (Preston) of Ninety Six; a brother, Marshall Avery (Brenda Gail) of Greenwood; six grandchildren, Will Avery, John Avery, William Hulon, Justin Hulon, Amanda Johnson (Ty), and Katherine Gable; four great grandchildren, Landon and Levi Hulon, Westyn Johnson, and Olivia McCary; and a very special friend, Sarah Ward. Pallbearers will be Preston Gable, Robbie Smith, Jamie Timms, David Urban, William and Justin Hulon. Honorary Escorts will be William and Justin Hulon, Will and John Avery, and Landon and Levi Hulon. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Laurens County; 1304 Springdale Dr, Clinton, 29325. The family is at the home of Billy Avery, 112 Porter Court, Hodges.
