William C. "Willie " Vaughn, 81, of 422 Sagewood Road, husband of Jeanette Holley Vaughn, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Hospice House. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Eddie M. and Jessie Hardin Vaughn. He was a 1949 graduate of Greenwood High School and was retired from Greenwood Motor Lines. Willie was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife of the home; a daughter, Susan Ward (Rick) of Simpsonville; a son, David Vaughn (Denise) of Stockbridge, GA; six sisters, Harriet Dominick, Ruth Satterfield, Ruby Minor, Dorothy Boone, Mary Birchmore and Jo Nell Fallaw, all of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Casey Vaughn, Steven Bridgland, Corinne Vaughn and Jessie Ward. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Calvin Vaughn and Milton Vaughn.
