Zelma O. Blackwell Timms, of 5218 Emerson Street, Hodges, wife of Broadus F. Timms, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital Downtown Greenville.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late JD and Mozelle Williams Blackwell. Mrs. Timms was a retired beautician and was the former co-owner of Just Formal Bridal. She volunteered her time weekly at the Hospice Store. She attended North Side Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are her children, Becky McClinton (Sam), Robby Briggs, both of Greenwood, and Mark Timms of Charleston; sister, Margaret Rogers of Greenwood; grandchildren, Garrett McAllister of Greenwood, Haven Sherard (Tripp) of Chapin, Erica Vickery (Jacob) of Lexington, Brooks Briggs of Ninety Six, and Amanda Briggs of Lexington; and five great grandchildren, Harper and Corie Sherard, Jada, Caleb, and Carter Briggs.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jay Timms.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Lethco officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Tripp Sherard, Jacob Vickery, Garrett McAllister, Robby Taylor, Scott Hatcher, Tony Williamson, and Brooks Briggs.

Honorary escort will be Hospice Store Volunteers.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
